A Human Services Hub in Southeast Columbus (Opening 2026)
With our neighbors and partners, Mid-Ohio Food Collective is leading a bold vision for hunger relief and community in southeast Columbus. The Eastland Prosperity Center will combine a free food market with a community health center, city services, and other supports under one roof to create a one-stop destination for social services.

WHAT IS THE EASTLAND PROSPERITY CENTER?
Located near Refugee and Hamilton Roads, the Eastland Prosperity Center will turn a former Kroger shopping center into a 67,000 square-foot human services hub. We estimate it will help at least 100,000 people each year from Eastland and the surrounding region. The new Center will include:
A Mid-Ohio Market offering fresh, healthy food at no cost to eligible customers.
On-site help applying for SNAP, Medicaid, and other programs.
A community health center operated by a heath care partner.
Referrals to the Mid-Ohio Farmacy program.
WIC and CelebrateOne offices operated by the City of Columbus.
Reservable community space.
And more!
A full list of services will be announced before the Center opens in 2026. Together in one place, these services will help address the root causes of hunger in Eastland and the surrounding region.

Many Voices, One Vision: A Community Where Everyone Can Thrive
MOFC purchased the shopping center that will become the Eastland Prosperity Center in 2023. Since then, we’ve been asking our neighbors what kinds of help they need most. The most common answers are healthy food, accessible health care, maternal and infant care, and other social supports. That feedback was considered at every step along with key findings from the Eastland Community Plan led by the city’s Department of Neighborhoods. Now—with support from the City of Columbus, the State of Ohio, the U.S. federal government, The Columbus Foundation, and private donors—MOFC is working to offer the resources our neighbors need.
