This advanced-level food and nutrition project invites you to build real-world skills while learning about hunger in your community. Through seven engaging activities, you’ll explore how to plan, shop for, and prepare healthy meals using only the ingredients you have on hand or might receive from a food pantry—all while working within a very limited budget.

Along the way, you’ll grow your creativity in the kitchen, deepen your understanding of food insecurity, and gain a greater appreciation for the challenges faced by those relying on emergency food resources. We hope you enjoy the journey and finish with both new skills and new perspective.
