Congress is considering the biggest cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in American history. The current national budget bill would take $300 billion from hungry families over 10 years.
This would end SNAP as we know it. Millions (including 1.5 million Ohioans) could lose some or all of their benefits. Need for food assistance is already at record highs. On top of Medicaid cuts that could take health care from millions of people, slashing SNAP will mean one thing: more hunger in Ohio.
The Senate will vote soon. Join us. Speak out by June 30. Tell Ohio’s Senators Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno to #ProtectSNAP!
